This page explains what personal information this website collects, what we do with it, and your rights. It is short because the website collects very little.
Who we are
Face Painting Isadora provides face painting for birthday parties, festivals, schools and other events in Christchurch and Canterbury. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “Isadora” mean Face Painting Isadora. You can contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us. When you send an enquiry through the form, that is:
- the type of event, the date, where it is and the number of guests
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you add one
- any message you write
If you email or phone us instead, we have whatever you tell us in that message or call.
Like any website, the service that hosts this one handles technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and the type of browser you use. It is needed to show you the pages and to protect the site from abuse. We use your IP address for one thing only: to limit how many times the form can be sent in a short time.
This website does not use advertising or analytics tools, and we do not set cookies of our own.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, check whether we are free on your date, and arrange and carry out your booking. We also keep a record of the enquiry and the booking. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
Who can see it, and where it goes
Your enquiry reaches us as an email. To make that work, we use services that handle information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and receives the form when you send it
- Resend sends the form to us as an email
- Google (Gmail) holds the inbox where that email arrives
Some of these services store information overseas, including in the United States. We share your information with others only where it is needed to run your booking, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we need them to deal with your booking and to keep our records. After that we delete them.
Keeping it safe
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the form is checked to keep out spam. We take reasonable care of the emails we receive, but no system is completely secure.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email [email protected] and we will reply.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Links to other sites
This website links to our Facebook and TikTok pages. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we do not control them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
